Parent Information

Standard Provisions

In order to assist with our home from home ethos we ask each parent/carer to provide indoor shoes, slippers or plimsoles for the children to change into as they arrive at nursery, along with spare suitable outside and indoor clothes, wellies and sunhat.

All clothing and footwear should be clearly marked with your child’s name. It may be a good idea to have a few spares in your child’s bag as we love messy play & outdoor time.

Welly boots are essential for all outdoor play as well as water proofs - we have somewhere to keep these safe for you.

Please provide 2 complete sets of spare clothes; any dirty or wet clothing shall be returned in plastics bags at pick up time. Clean spare clothes should then be replenished at the child’s next attendance.

Additional provisions for babies

Babies should have a change of clothing and suitable outdoor wear, along with bottles and nappy rash cream if required. All equipment should be clearly labelled.

When weaning,  we will provide appropriate food to support this journey in line with how weaning is being done at home whether following baby lead weaning or pureeing foods for your little one to try, this will all be discussed with your child's keyworker and shared with all within the room.

Nappies and fragrance free wipes should be brought with your child’s changing bag. Any sensitivities will be noted in children's passports (All about me forms) upon starting..

Food & meal times

Playspaces Nursery provides a well-balanced, healthy meal plan for our children. Our food is prepared fresh daily and all meals & snacks match 'Setting The Table guidance. This way we know that our children will receive main meals cooked from scratch so that we know exactly what your child is eating and can cater for any allergies and dietary requirements.

Policy Documents

Playspaces Nursery prides itself on its child-centred approach, however it is essential that parents and staff know that we have an organised and well planned nursery that is prepared for every eventuality. Therefore we have an extensive catalogue of policies and procedures which we use as working guidance both for staff and parents/carers which are available for all to see.
